 Manuel Antonio National Park is the most famous tourist destination in Costa Rica, due to its easy access and great variety in food, lodging, and flora and fauna. In the park, it is possible to see approximately 352 species of birds, 109 species of mammals, large numbers of marine fauna, and hundred insects. Manuel Antonio National Park is among the most visited in Latin America.

The Manuel Antonio National Park was founded in 1972 by the Costa Rican government as an attempt to preserve its invaluable natural wealth and biodiversity.

Manuel Antonio Park opening hours

Manuel Antonio National Park is open to visitors daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. m. to 3:00 p.m. m. except Tuesdays as it is the only day the park is closed.

Visitors must present their identity document when entering the park when they show the entrance ticket, which is valid one time.

It is located just a few meters from Espadilla south beach, from that point on you can decide if you need transportation to the hotels or stay to enjoy one of the cleanest and most beautiful white sand beaches in Costa Rica and the world.

This beach is the first in the Manuel Antonio National Park and the second in the area. To reach it you can cross the trails through the mangroves or cross from the Manuel Antonio main beach at the end of the tour.
